From One Mom’s Vision to a Global Team: Little Love Bug Company Is Redefining How Kids’ Shoes Are Made

When Leslie Morrison founded Little Love Bug Company eight years ago, she was simply a mom searching for shoes that fit her toddlers’ growing feet. “My kids were both so tiny that no shoes fit them properly,” Morrison says. “I couldn’t find anything that supported healthy foot development and still looked cute.”

That challenge sparked an idea that would grow from a $2,000 credit-card investment into a thriving global business known for its barefoot-inspired footwear for babies, toddlers, and young children.

The inspiration came when Morrison overheard a store employee explaining the importance of wide toe boxes and flexible soles in early childhood footwear. “That conversation really stuck with me,” she says. “I went home, did some research, and realized how much the right shoe design matters for growing feet.”
