These shoes are really cute and definitely are wider than traditional shoes, but they’re marked as SMO friendly on the website and I think there are a couple things that are not SMO friendly. I think to be SMO friendly the straps have the be wider to accommodate the width of braces. Additionally, I think the sole could be just a little wider to help with SMOs. I really like the shoes, they are just very tight on the braces. The shoes are high quality, but for other SMO parents, just know these might not be 100% adaptable. I plan to order more, just definitely in a bigger size than I usually do even with braces.
